The bones of the Interstate 24X are built on the same powerful, capable Mercedes-Benz® Sprinter Van chassis as its Airstream touring coach cousins. With a 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel engine that packs 188 horsepower and 325 lbs. of torque, you can confidently hit the end of the blacktop and head off on more rugged terrains – all while towing up to 5,000 lbs. Six rugged wheels and dirt-road-ready tires mean you can follow your adventure wherever it leads. The vehicle is wrapped in an ultra-durable protective coating around its front and rear as well as along the sides, protecting the sleek silver body front scratches on the way into camp. And a performance lighting system gives you powerful ways to banish the night – including a 42-inch LED Light Bar above the windshield.
But it’s inside the Interstate 24X where the vehicle become more than simply a vehicle for your van life – but a true home on wheel with every Airstream amenity you expect, including a convenient wet bath, a kitchen, and plenty of storage for everything your adventures require.
Large, Adaptive Living and Storage Space
The interior centerpiece, though, is the Interstate 24X’s sleeping and living area. It’s a versatile space that can convert into several different configurations depending on what your adventure requires. Place the backrests between the bench seats and set up the largest bed in any Class B motorhome, or opt for a twin bed setup with beds on either side of the aisle. Finally, if you’re traveling solo or simply want to take full advantage of the space, you can choose to set up a smaller bed that’s either all the way in the rear or positioned more toward the center of the coach. Both setups give you the benefit of flexible living or storage space.
Because some of the greatest adventures require bringing along your gear, the Interstate 24X comes equipped with a thoughtfully-designed Aluminum Aircraft L-Track Storage System on the walls, ceiling, and floor for complete coverage. Choose from any number of combinations and hang, secure, tie-down, or cinch your gear in place. From holding your mountain bikes securely in transit, to tying down fire pits, camp furniture, or even a kayak, you can travel with the confidence that your stuff will stay in place.
With four different table locations, the Interstate 24X gives you flexibility for the perfect meal – or for a little work-from-anywhere session. Two mounts in the rear of the coach let you set up in front of the bench seating (or the bed, depending on your set up), while up front you can spin the captain’s chairs around for a versatile table setup with plenty of power and USB outlets close at hand.
